AI generated artwork is any artwork created with the assistance of AI. It can be a work created autonomously by AI systems or a work that is a collaboration between a human and an AI system.
Now, there are a few AI art generator apps, one of them being starryai. Such apps allow users to input a word prompt to generate artworks. One can tweak settings, artistic styles & use a variety of combinations to render unique, whimsical creations.
As mentioned above, starryai is an AI art generator app. You simply enter a text prompt and its AI transforms your words into works of art.
AI Art generation is usually a laborious process which requires technical expertise, thus, becoming extremely inaccessible for many aspiring creatives who seek to dabble in this art medium. To help combat this & to make AI art more easily available, starryai makes that process simple and intuitive through the mobile & web app.
Mo, our founder, wanted to make ai art form more accessible to non-coders. With this mission in mind, he developed the ai art generator app to allow creators to create stunning works of art by simply entering words into the text prompt field on the app.
“I thought, like, why isn’t this available for everyone? Like, why can't I share this with my friend and he should be able to instantly create art without getting into the technical aspects of it?” said Mo.
The ai art generator app uses two AI models to generate art. First one being, Altair, which uses VQGAN-CLIP model to render the artwork creations. The second is, Orion, which uses CLIP-Guided Diffusion to create stunning artworks and imageries.
Altair AI uses VQGAN-CLIP model to generate images. But what is it really?
To start off, VQGAN stands for Vector Quantized Generative Adversarial Network, while CLIP stands for Contrastive Image-Language Pre-training. While the two are separate networks, images generated via VQGAN-CLIP essentially means that the two networks interact with each other to form the creation.
The purpose of the two is rather simple. VQGAN generates the images, while CLIP observes & informs how well the generated image aligns with the inserted text prompt. This communicative method between the two networks ensure the best possible accuracy when producing the images.
Users are also able to generate ai art using an initial image & allowing the AI model to have a base for the creation.
Orion AI leverages CLIP-Guided Diffusion technique to develop beautiful renders & imageries.
The way Diffusion works is it mathematically removes noise from an image. Whereas, CLIP, is used primarily to label images. Thus, when the two interact, CLIP iteratively guides the diffusion de-noising process via proper image identification, allowing to process an image to be created in alignment with the text prompt.
This technique is essentially an iterative process. With each iteration, CLIP evaluates the render & compares it to the text prompt inserted & based on this evaluation, it guides the diffusion process. The process begins with a very blurry image which diffusion works to de-noise as it advances through the iteration process until it finally arrives at a detailed, coherent image.
Similar to Altair, Orion also allows to use an initial image to base off the ai art creations in conjunction with the text prompt.
starryai allows users to use initial images for both Altair & Orion. This expands the dimensions of the app’s capabilities as users can generate an image on Altair then use it as an initial image on Orion and vice-versa to create their artworks.
As is true in any other process of creating art, users are encouraged to experiment & iterate their ai art creation various times to yield beautiful results. Different variations of text prompts, exploring different styles, using initial images & experimenting with iteration are some of the ways to create unique artworks that align with the user’s artistic style.

An AI art generator is a software application that allows you to create artwork via text-prompts.
An AI-generated NFT is software that generates NFTs fast via text or sample images.
There are several ways you can sell AI generated art. You can sell them as traditional prints or you can mint them as NFTs to sell on popular marketplaces. We wrote a handy guide here.
You own 100% of the copyrights of any artwork generated as long as all assets used, if any, were also owned by you.
The creator, i.e. you, own the copyrights to AI art as long all assets used, if any, were also owned by you. I.e. if you used an initial image, you need to be the owner of the image for the artwork to be 100% original.
